What is GeoPlunge
GeoPlunge consists of over 60
multi-award winning games that both children and adults will love --
all in one box. Because there are so many games to choose from, GeoPlunge
has something for everyone. Each GeoPlunge game is exciting, unique,
and will provide endless hours of fun. People who have played GeoPlunge
games have called them “awesome,” “really cool,”
“fantastic,” “incredibly fun,” “exciting,”
“pure genius,” “wonderful,” “a great idea,”
“extremely creative,” and “the best.” And just
by playing these games, you'll learn a ton of U.S. geography, including
| + All 50 State Capitals + Border states for each state + State Rankings in Population + State Rankings in Statehood + State Birds |
+ 150 U.S. cities + State Rankings in Size + State Flowers + Time Zones |
A Great Family Game
Also, because most of the games can be played in teams (if you
wish), families can play kids against adults or one parent and
child can play against another parent and child. |
A Great Game for Your Kids
All of the GeoPlunge games
are highly educational. Just by playing GeoPlunge, children and
adults learn a tremendous amount of U.S. geography – far
more than with ordinary geography games. Many U.S. geography games
on the market teach just the state capitals, or teach just the
border states of each state. By playing GeoPlunge games, players
learn not only the state capitals, and not only the border states
of each state (and where they are located in relation to the state),
but much, much more. With GeoPlunge games, players also learn
150 U.S. cities, three per state, and where they are located within
the state. With GeoPlunge games, players also learn each state’s
ranking (from 1 to 50) in terms of population, which is important
for many reasons including determining the number of congressional
representatives and electoral votes each state has. And population
is not the only category in which players learn the state rankings
while playing GeoPlunge games. These games also teach players
each state’s ranking in terms of size (i.e., land mass)
as well as in terms of when the state entered into the union (referred
to in the games as statehood). With GeoPlunge, each player also
learns the state birds and flowers as well as what they look like,
the state flag, the time zones of individual states, and which
states are in multiple time zones. |
Great for Classrooms
GeoPlunge can be played not only at home, in a car, or on vacation, but also in the classroom and many 5, 6 and 7 year olds have played some of the easier games. In fact, there are many GeoPlunge games that can be played in a classroom where the entire class can play together all at one time (i.e., games in which as many as 50 students can play at once). Therefore, teachers can use GeoPlunge to have either several small groups playing their own separate games, or the entire class playing one game, whichever a teacher prefers. Teachers who have played GeoPlunge in their classroom have loved the games and wanted to purchase GeoPlunge sets. One of the reasons teachers want to have GeoPlunge in their classroom is that children who play the games learn so much U.S. geography in an interesting and fun way. As one second grade teacher who uses GeoPlunge in each of her four social studies classes stated, GeoPlunge “is excellent and is a wonderful teaching tool.” Similarly, as one sixth grade teacher stated:
Children who have played these games in the classroom have loved them. Teachers - View Classroom Games

Because
adults often enjoy GeoPlunge games as much as children, these
games are perfect for families to play together. As one Virginia
parent stated,
